Vice President for Enrollment Management

Fresno Pacific University seeks candidates for the position of Vice President for Enrollment Management.  This position reports to President Pete Menjares and serves as a member of the President’s Cabinet.  The Vice President for Enrollment Management is responsible for leading the University’s enrollment efforts for all areas including traditional undergraduate, degree completion, graduate, seminary and continuing education.  The successful candidate will uphold the “Founded on Christ” mission of the University at all times, support the University’s ideals and practices and be Christ-centered in dealings with colleagues, students and others. Key Duties

  • Provide visionary leadership in the areas of admissions, retention, student financial services, continuing education and regional centers for all student populations
  • Develop and achieve University enrollment quantitative targets as well as goals for diversity, academic preparation and church and regional affiliation
  • Report regularly on new student enrollment progress to campus leadership and the campus community at large
  • Provide information on anticipated/projection enrollment patterns to assist in planning and budget development for annual and long-term institutional revenue
  • Lead a team of directors and managers who are responsible for daily operations of functions listed above
  • Establish and monitor enrollment management department budgets
  • Work with the University Communications Department so that necessary marketing and recruitment materials will be produced in a timely manner
  • Build strong partnerships with cabinet colleagues in Academic Affairs, Student Life and Athletics to ensure both accurate representation of the University by the enrollment team as well as effective transitions as prospective students enroll
  • Develop, disseminate and apply market research
  • Serve as administrative liaison to assigned committees of the Board of Trustees.

  • Demonstrate personal Christian faith and commitment to the Christian mission of the University
  • Have proven personal and professional integrity and character
  • Demonstrate commitment to the student-focused and value-centered characteristics of the University, its mission, and its  Mennonite Brethren/Anabaptist, Evangelical and Ecumenical identity and educational vision as articulated in the FPU Idea.
  • Carry out the value-centered orientation of the University in enrollment planning and student services
  • Live out an administrative style that emphasizes collaboration with faculty, staff and students as well as a demonstrated commitment to diversity.

Professional Qualifications Provide evidence of:

  • Hold a master’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • A successful record of meeting enrollment goals
  • Proven leadership at a senior level in admission, student financial services, retention and enrollment planning
  • Proven track record in understanding the market for private higher education and developing appropriate marketing plans
  • The ability to work with and lead teams, both at the cabinet and the enrollment management staff level
  • The ability to use technology to gather, analyze and apply data to inform enrollment management strategies, planning and practices
  • Experience working with traditional and non-traditional student  populations
  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Provide evidence of a proven record as a leader who can provide strategic and creative direction while balancing the resource and funding requirements necessary to achieve the University’s strategic goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Earned doctoral degree
  • Experience in the development and oversight of regional centers
  • Experience in a Christian college or university
