Credo is pleased to announce the appointment of Emma Jones as Chief Brand Officer and a member of Credo’s Executive Management Team. In this role, Emma oversees the integrity and evolution of the firm’s brand. She is responsible for firm marketing initiative development and implementation in alignment with Credo's overall strategic plan.

In 2013, as Credo’s Director of Marketing, Emma worked closely with Joanne Soliday as Production and Copy Editor for “Surviving to Thriving: A Framework for Leaders of Private Colleges and Universities.” She has also grown Credo’s knowledge leadership programs into the Thriving Institute Series, which features five annual conferences across a broad range of Credo’s Thriving Framework.

Emma has worked in higher education since 2002, with a focus on international education program development, marketing, and communications. In her previous position as Manager for External Communication and Program Development with the Foundation for International Education (FIE), Emma held primary responsibility for all print and electronic marketing efforts, and worked closely with FIE’s partner universities to develop and maintain study abroad programs in Europe and the Middle East. Prior to her time at FIE, Emma coordinated faculty-led and affiliate-based study abroad programs, advised students, and managed study abroad marketing in her role as Study Abroad Advisor and Publicity Coordinator at Elon University.

“She brings an amazing strategic voice to the firm and to the Executive Management Team,” says Credo president Tom Gavic. “She also provides a true example of action and results that are absolutely critical to Credo’s growth. She’s making stuff happen.”

Emma received her Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. She is the founder of the LeanIn Women’s Circle of Central NC.

“Credo is a unique firm doing important work in higher education all over the country, and I’m humbled to be able to play this role in supporting its growth and success,” says Jones, “I have an amazing team to work with, and can’t wait to see what Credo’s next decade looks like.”
