A higher education expert in story telling through space and place with Credo since 2000, Dawn is an architect, designer, creative thinker, strategist, connector and planner. Dawn works as a design leader in the campus master planning and architecture studio of Credo, developing and creating positive impact through environments for our campus partners. The built environment shapes our lives and Dawn works to understand what motivates people to do what they do, where they do it, and with who they do it with every campus partner. Taking the time to understand each campus, knowing every campus is different, and defining solutions that best meet and exceed expectations through cultivating creative thinking. Even with a campus environment, focusing on human-centered design strengthens the concept of attachment and belonging. Dawn has always worked in educational environments as a design architect, beginning with a focus on K-12 facilities, where understanding the various generations, the unique characteristics and the changes in the surrounding environments help define learning modalities, and how the environment affects student success. Once understanding and growing through the technical aspects of the design and construction industry, Dawn shifted to taking this knowledge into the higher education market to help transform the lives to students through space and place. Dawn has been a part of NCARB (National Council of Architects Registration Board) and AIA (American Institute of Architects) since 1996. Dawn received her B.A in Fine Arts from the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis, then pursued a B.S.A. in Architecture and a M. Arch from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
