Bethel University (MN) Kicks Off Project to Improve Welcome Experience

Sep 03, 2010 |

Bethel University (MN) President Jay Barnes III discusses the Welcome Center Project and efforts to strengthen admissions and campus visit experiences. The project includes a three-phase approach, with renovations to existing spaces and relocation of a more formal Welcome Center within the Brushaber Commons. Barnes says, "This would bring the admissions staff closer to the west front of the campus in a much more attractive setting, and bring visitors to the hub of student activity and the 'best part of the house.'" President Barnes is optimistic about the changing landscape of Bethel University, and one trustee quickly challenged the Board to contribute to the project by offering a 1 for 2 matching gift to underwrite one third of the project.
