President of College Board to Step Down in 2012 Source: New York Times, The Choice Blog Gaston Caperton, the president of the College Board - and, in that capacity, the ultimate proctor of the SAT and Advanced Placement exams - announced Friday morning that he would step down in June 2012. Mr. Caperton, 71, a former Democratic governor of West Virginia, has led the College Board since 1999. The private college near Terre Haute is guaranteeing that tuition for on-campus students will remain the same for four years starting with the 2011-12 academic year. President Dottie King tells the Tribune-Star that the college hopes the Tuition Promise program will help increase enrollment and student retention. Law Students To Reduce Stress With Loaner Dog Source: The Seattle Times Yale Law School, renowned for competitiveness and its Supreme Court justices, is embarking on a pilot program next week in which students can check out a "therapy dog" named Monty along with the library's collection.
