Kurt Stimeling

Kurt has over 30 years’ experience as a student affairs officer with a demonstrated commitment to student learning, leadership, success, and development at smaller private, residential campuses. Kurt recently served Rivier University (Nashua, New Hampshire) as Vice President for Student Affairs responsible for departments that directly engaged and supported students: Campus Ministry, Counseling & Wellness, Intercollegiate Athletics, Student Engagement  (including Multicultural Student Engagement), Public Safety & Security, and Residence Life. Key accomplishments at Rivier included the restructuring and resourcing of Public Safety and Athletics and the development and construction of new athletic and on campus residential housing. Prior to joining Rivier University, Kurt served in student affairs leadership roles at Clarkson University (Potsdam, New York), St. Olaf College (Northfield, Minnesota) and Colorado College (Colorado Springs, CO). Kurt earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at St. Olaf College and Master of Science degree at Illinois State University.
