Brief project description
The Campus Commons was developed in the heart of Alvernia's residential zone of campus, developed to provide a community space for all students to gather and collaborate, study and interact with Student Life staff. This building was designed to provide students with much needed space on campus dedicated for their use. Primary components include a large "living room" that is used for lounge space designed to be flexible for student programing, study and social events and large campus events. This space features an indoor-outdoor fireplace, and has an adjacent outdoor patio area that expands the capacity of the space for indoor-outdoor events. The facility also includes a 2-story fitness center, University Life office suite, Student Activities / SGA / Students Org. suite, and dance studio to support Alvernia's academics and theater programs.
