Brief project description
Credo designed two new residence halls for Warren Wilson College dubbed “The Village, a LEED® Gold certified and welcoming living-and-learning community. The apartment style residence halls include a mix of both single and double-room occupancy to provide affordable housing options to upper classmen. The apartments open off a central outdoor gathering space, fostering a sense of community among residents. To take advantage of the cool mountain climate, the buildings are naturally ventilated and utilize ceiling fans to promote circulation, eliminating the need for air conditioning. Each apartment houses between four and six students, and provides living and dining space, full kitchens, and shared bathrooms.
