Dr. Steve Morley is the Director of Space Utilization and Planning at the University of North Carolina - Greensboro. Steve focuses his career and client partnerships around sustainable, student-focused innovation. Steve has a track record of growth and courageous leadership, creating campus spaces that ignite student engagement, retention, and success. Beginning his career in Residence Life, Steve has also served independent higher education as a Multicultural Advisor, leading numerous international service-learning trips; Director of Leadership Education; an Associate Professor and Adjunct Faculty member, creating curriculum and presenting on leadership and communication; an Associate Dean; and Dean of Students.

In his role as Dean of Students at Taylor University, Indiana, Steve led a department of 50 people, facilitated holistic, co-curricular learning experiences for students, and implemented facility renovations and construction that created synergies for institutional growth and development, overseeing 10 space and place projects worth over $50 million. Steve remains active in a number of professional organizations, presenting at conferences on topics from residence life to helicopter parents to crisis management in student affairs. Steve received his B.A. from Taylor University, M.A. in Student Affairs Administration from Ball State University, and his Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership at Indiana State University where he wrote a dissertation on a how campus mission is expressed in the physical environment.
