It is June...are you resting up from this recruitment cycle or still scrambling for a few (dozen) more students? From what we’re seeing from clients and our NACCAP enrollment research (www.naccapresearch.org), the buyer’s market is continuing with apps and admits up and deposits still reflective of uncertainty about fall enrollment.
Now is a good time to study your admitted students, both matriculants and non-matriculants, to determine:
• The factors behind their decisions
• How campus visits played a role
• Decision influencers on and off campus
• The importance that finances had in their decision
• How they perceived your campus
• Their communication preferences
Whether you study these issues on your own like many institutions do or seek help from a company like Credo, make this a high priority this summer.
Here is a presentation I made at the recent NACCAP Conference on the subject. If you have any questions, please contact me at tfuller@credohighered.com, or by calling 336.585.1044.
