D’andre is the Director of Retention at Greensboro College where she oversees the college’s student retention efforts as part of its larger effort to increase student persistence and graduation rates. D'andre is a lifelong learner, a seasoned student advisor, and a proficient project manager. In her most recent role before Greensboro College, D’andre served as a Project Manager for Credo where she managed a variety of Student Success projects and partnered efficiently and creatively with clients to complete projects, keeping students at the center of each endeavor. Previously, D’andre worked at Forsyth Technical Community College as an Academic Advisor, restructuring the advising process for transfer students to increase persistence and retention at the two-year level while fostering a successful transition for transfer students. She also improved processes around New Student Orientation and Registration, online learner support, and faculty/staff training and development.
Before working at Forsyth Tech, D’andre was the Assistant Director of Tutoring Services in Special Support Services (TRiO) in the Learning Assistance Center at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In this role, she managed the tutoring processes for first-generation and low-income students. Her areas of expertise in higher education are high-impact practices in retention, access for underrepresented populations, online learners, and organizational development. D’andre earned her B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of North Texas and M.Ed. in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
