Campuses look to Matt when they need a partner to both imagine a new future and to help actually get there. As part of Credo’s trusted Leadership Strategies division, Matt regularly works with governing boards, presidents, and cabinets to lead and manage strategic planning projects across the country. Matt also leads entire campus communities on innovation and change readiness conversations, looking at the structures needed to support a new era of higher education.
Matt’s professional interests center around innovation in traditional colleges, with a focus on student success, university leadership, and change management. He’s worked professionally and in volunteer leadership roles with several national higher education associations, and has also managed executive searches for university positions.
Matt holds a Doctorate in Education from The George Washington University with a focus on disruptive innovation in higher education. His work explored how leadership teams at higher education institutions move forward with significant changes despite resistance and uncertainty. He also holds a Master of Science degree from Texas A&M University, and a Bachelor of Arts in history from James Madison University.
